- Dr. Shaukat H. Chowdhari is board certified
in Pain Management by the American
Board of Anesthesiology as well as the American
Academy of Pain Management. He is also certified in
Anesthesiology by the American Board of
Anesthesiology.
Dr. Chowdhari has been practicing medicine for 17 years. He
graduated from Dow Medical College and completed his internal medicine
residency at Cornell University's Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in New
York. In addition, he completed his anesthesiology residency at the
Albert Einstein College of medicine's Long Island Jewish Medical Center,
and Stony Brook University's Nassau County Medical Center New York.
Dr. Chowdhari also participated in a specialized fellowship training in
pain management at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Chowdhari is a member of the Pain and Anesthesiology Societies.
Besides conservative pain management, Dr. Chowdhari is certified in
Medtronic invasive therapeutic modalities of pain management, i.e.
morphine pump, baclofen pump for spasticity and pain, and spinal cord
stimulation. He is also cerified in spinal endoscopy, cryoanalgesia
(freezing of nerves), and radio-frequency procedures.
Dr. Chowdhari provides comprehensive pain management delivered in a
kind and compassionate manner using the latest technology and therapeutic
intervention, while at the same time, working closely with the referring
